About

About

My work is about building worlds, creating characters and telling stories. Everything I do is informed by my studies in History, Art History, and Archaeology. For me, the creative storytelling process is always about exploring the connection between the nostalgic past, and the imagined future.

Fashion often gets a bad representation for taking itself too seriously, and this is a conceit I try to avoid. Though I adore exploring intersections of style and Anthropology / Faith / Culture / History etc, I try to keep my work light and open. I work as much to learn and grow as to express.

I have enjoyed working with brands, because it has provided me a very specific framework within which to tell a story.  Brands also provide me with a direct gauge of the effectiveness of my campaigns… Based on sales, SEO and customer feedback I have learned to hone my creative voice, to more accurately speak to our audience.

Artistic Direction and styling are very natural to me. I find myself in my groove when I am working in these contexts. I love building and leading teams of creative professionals to produce content, and have been very fortunate to work with amazing teams who challenge and push me to create exceptional work.

My writing has been both for magazines such as Hello Mr. and for online platforms and blogs including Design*Sponge. I am highly engaged in Social Media, often hosting workshops, and helping brands adapt and hone new platforms. Most recently I hosted a two-week Instagram takeover for Visit South Bend Mishawaka, in which time we more than doubled their followers. I have also led Pinterest campaigns for Hello Mr and Folk Magazine.
